Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been living at Wheeler Nursing & Rehabilitation for the past year, and we've been incredibly impressed with the care she receives. The staff is always attentive, friendly, and genuinely cares about her well-being. The facility itself is clean and comfortable, and there are plenty of activities to keep residents engaged. We highly recommend Wheeler to anyone seeking quality care for their loved ones.

The rehabilitation program at Wheeler has been a game-changer for my recovery. The therapists are knowledgeable and supportive, and I've made significant progress in regaining my strength and mobility. The staff is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure my needs are met, and I feel like I'm part of a caring community.

Wheeler is a decent facility, but there have been some communication issues at times. The food could be better, but overall, the staff is friendly and tries their best to provide good care. I wish there were more activities for residents, but it's not a terrible place.
