Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother has been a resident at Alexandria Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center for the past few months, and we're so grateful for the care she has received. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, and they always go the extra mile to make her feel comfortable and cared for. The center is clean and well-maintained, and the food is excellent. I highly recommend Alexandria Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center to anyone looking for a high-quality facility for their loved ones.

While the staff at Alexandria Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center are friendly, I've noticed some inconsistencies in the level of care my father has received. There have been times when his needs haven't been met promptly, and I've had to follow up with the staff myself. However, the center is clean and well-maintained, and the activities offered are engaging. Overall, it's a decent facility, but I wish the consistency of care was better.
