Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My grandmother stayed at St. Johnsbury Health & Rehab for a few months after a hospital stay. The staff was very kind and attentive, and she received excellent care. The facility was clean and well-maintained, and the food was good. Overall, we were very happy with her stay.

The facility is ok. The staff is friendly enough, but it can be difficult to get in touch with the nursing staff at times. The food was good, but there were some issues with the cleanliness of the facility.

I was impressed with the level of care my father received at St. Johnsbury Health & Rehab. The staff was incredibly compassionate and dedicated. They worked hard to help him regain his strength and independence. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for skilled nursing care.
