Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

I was so impressed with Life Care Center of Port Orchard from the moment I walked in. The staff was welcoming and friendly, and the facility was bright and cheerful. My grandmother has been living here for a year now, and she absolutely loves it. The food is delicious, the activities are engaging, and the staff is always there to help her with whatever she needs. I would highly recommend this center to anyone looking for a supportive and nurturing environment for their loved one.

Life Care Center of Port Orchard is a decent facility, but it could be better. The staff is generally friendly, but there have been a few occasions where I felt like my father wasn't getting the attention he needed. The food is okay, but it could be more varied. Overall, it's a good option for seniors who need assisted living, but there are other facilities in the area that might be better.
