Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My mother stayed at Avamere for a few weeks after a hip replacement, and I was so impressed with the care she received. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and the facility was clean and comfortable. They really helped her get back on her feet and regain her strength.

I was very satisfied with the level of care my father received at Avamere. The therapists were great at helping him improve his mobility, and the nurses were always there to answer any questions I had. The facility was well-maintained and had a nice, homey feel.

The staff at Avamere were friendly and helpful, but I did find the food to be a bit bland and unappetizing. Overall, it was a decent facility, but there are definitely better options out there.
