Based on a nursing home's performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My mother has been at Skaalen for a few months now and we are very happy with the care she is receiving. The staff are all very kind and attentive. The facility is clean and well-maintained. I would recommend Skaalen to anyone looking for a nursing home for their loved one.

Skaalen has been a blessing to our family. My grandmother has been receiving excellent care and has been making good progress in her rehabilitation. The staff are incredibly compassionate and go above and beyond to make sure she is comfortable and happy. We couldn't be more pleased with our decision to choose Skaalen.

The care at Skaalen is decent, but it could be better. The staff are friendly enough, but sometimes seem overworked. The food is okay, but not great. Overall, it's a decent place, but I would recommend looking around to see if you can find something better.
