Costs

Original Medicare typically covers short-term rehabilitation for up to 100 days (lifetime limit) following a hospital stay of at least three inpatient days or under specific qualifying circumstances, once your deductible is met. For long-term nursing home care, Medicaid may provide coverage after exhausting long-term care insurance and personal savings, depending on the facility. It's important to verify payment options and costs directly with the nursing home to ensure clarity and avoid unexpected expenses.

My mother has been living at Polaris for the past year, and we couldn't be happier with the care she's received. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, and they've made a real effort to make her feel at home. She's made new friends, participates in activities, and enjoys her meals. The facility is well-maintained and clean, and I always feel welcome when I visit. I highly recommend Polaris to anyone looking for a caring and supportive environment for their loved one.

Polaris has been a godsend for our family. After my father's stroke, we were worried about his recovery and long-term care. The staff at Polaris were so patient and understanding. They helped him regain his strength and mobility, and he even started participating in art classes. The facility is beautiful, and it feels like a home rather than an institution. We are incredibly grateful for the compassionate care my father received at Polaris.

The care at Polaris is good, but there are some areas that could be improved. The communication between staff and families could be better, and some of the activities are a bit repetitive. Overall, though, it's a decent facility, and the staff does their best to meet the needs of the residents. I just wish there were more opportunities for socialization and engagement.
